SYL construction decision- as water is the lifeline - Akali Dal

Punjab is an agrarian state and river waters are its lifelines. People are fully dependent on it. Punjab had absolute right over its river waters but through various agreements and decisions it had been robbed of its due share in broad daylight. “The people of Punjab are the custodians of the river waters in the state and won’t allow to share a single drop of it with any state as Punjab didn’t have spare water to share with anyone. The decision to construct SYL on Punjab in defiance to nationally and internationally has been taken for its implementation. 



Water, together with soil, is the underpinning assets of any land based business. Water is becoming increasingly important for farmers especially when their farm businesses incorporate irrigated rather than rain-fed farm enterprises. The quality of the water is used in terms of chemical and microbiological standards for business will also affect the types of crops that can be grown on the farm and ultimately the productive and financial capacity of the business. All living beings need water for the survival. The Earth is full of water. Water is the most essential element, next to air, to our survival for leading a good and healthy life. A farmer is one of the most important members of society. 

He is the gives food to the people, to all practical purposes. It will show the positive effect to the Punjab and its economy. Government has shown excellent steps for the improvement on water issues and other crises. As we all know that Punjab government is doing a lot for the farmers and their issues. It would help in improving the efficiency and performance of boosting the research in agriculture sector.

The Chief Minister also asked the SGPC to organize Kirtan Darbars at various religious places/shrines connected with Sri Guru Goind Singh Ji like Sri Poanta Sahib, Dina Sahib, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo and Takht Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded. Government is also looking forward to coordinate with the Bihar government on regular basis so as to ensure the commemoration of this greatest religious event in a perfect manner. Let’s coordinate and oversee the arrangements ofthis mega event. We all should celebrate this great and not miss any opportunity to commemorate at amass level with utmost religious fervor and gaiety.

Equal opportunity is a stipulation that all people should be treated similarly. Right to Equality refers to the equality in the eyes of law, discarding any unfairness on grounds of caste. The advantages of promoting equality in the workplace include creating an environment with high employee morale, developing a good reputation and the ability to recruit top talent. Another advantage of equality in the workplace is that the effectiveness of employees is measured by their contributions, which may motivate them to openly contribute to the company in a positive way.


Equality in the workplace also promotes equal pay and prohibits discrimination in the payment of wages and benefits. Workers who are disabled but otherwise able to do their jobs are also protected under equality laws. Companies are required by law to provide reasonable accommodations to disabled workers. Government promised or the equality and fraternity among all. All the castes will live equally. All the people will have equal rights. It will promote equality. Government has made the life easy for all. It leads to the growth of economy to Punjab and its people. We salute to the government measures. Government support people to empower themselves. Even helping people to live long and productive lives and enjoy a good quality of life. People will not have any issues regarding state .they will live peacefully. Punjab government is doing a lot to create peace and harmony among all. All the people can raise their voice for their livelihood which will help them to live a fruitful life. It will create a bond which can never be broken by anyone. We owe your true feeling for the sake of nation.

“Smart Swachh Villages”

Government is taking initiative step to clean villages. It’s the main objective of improving the quality of life of rural people. To become mainstream in urban areas will show a positive impact and it will be very useful, even for the growth of economy. A number of innovative approaches to improve water supply and sanitation have been tested in Punjab. 

Waste is being treated. A majority of decisions are made in a very centralized manner to make clean environment. Government of Punjab has rolled out at the national level a program to change the way in which water and sanitation services are supported in rural areas. Government is bringing awareness among the people through quite good advertisements. It aims to attain a 100% open defecation free Punjab. It aims to promote community hygiene in rural India. 



To help promote waste management practices, government help by installing colour-coded dustbins to segregate waste, thereby reducing the time-consuming job of waste segregation, he made it easier for the villagers to adopt the change. He even promoted revenue generation by setting up a system for the community to sell recyclable material to the local scrap dealer, which was a great motivator for the villagers. All the villages will soon be a swachh villages. Now, it is all set to become the first state in India with 200 villages being developed as “Smart Swachh Villages” within this year by the Punjab government. 

It’s a true inspiration to villagers and local government bodies that ‘Clean India’ is not just a phrase.... It is actionable with very little effort.”

CABINET DECIDES TO RETURN ENTIRE MONEY RECEIVED FROM HARYANA FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SYL

Badal had said last week that Punjab "did not have a single drop of water to spare from its rivers. The Congress said that it will not allow Punjab's water to be shared through the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal with neighboring Haryana. Both Punjab and Haryana have been locked in a bitter war of words over sharing of river waters. 
These states are unwilling to give up their respective stand on the controversial canal issue. The government will not allow Punjab’s water to be shared through the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal with neighboring Haryana. Punjab is not in a condition to share even a drop of water with others”. Large number of activists raised slogans and expressed solidarity over not sharing the water of with the neighboring state, Haryana.

CM said that “Punjab is not to tolerate nor allow any unjust decision on SYL and river waters to be forcibly imposed on Punjab”. The resolution said that Punjab had always been discriminated against by the central government on various issues, especially water sharing. It is the situation of “extremely grave and dangerous”. The foundation stone of the SYL canal was laid in April 1982 by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.  The SYL Canal is entangled in a political and legal quagmire with Punjab and Haryana states unwilling to share river water.
As we all know that Punjab government is doing a lot for the farmers and their issues. No one will have to strive .every person can live fruitful life. Now the water problems will also be solved. As government has decided not to give Punjab water will only Punjab people can use their water and can resolve their problems related to water.

Providing toilet and sanitation facilities to rural areas

Punjab has become the first state to provide water connection and toilet in every home to empower rural women to make a positive impact on the society. It’s a very good idea for the economic life of Punjab. It will benefit our Punjab state for its development. This plan is to provide toilet and sanitation facilities in all rural and remote areas to improve the sanitary issues.

It will help in solving urban sanitation issues will help increase retention among people. Its main objective of improving the quality of life of rural people. It’s really a very good thinking in improving people life. The inadequate sanitation adversely effects the economic growth in the country, so there was the need of this program, as its known Sanitary laterines and chulahs are integral part of the house so this will improve all issues. 


It will improve the quality of life. It strives to provide cleanliness. This will highlight adverse health effects of open defecation. Lack of sanitation can be 'cause and effect' of poverty. Promoting sanitation & hygiene will acknowledge to people. There will be development in our state. It’s being launched to aim at promoting sanitation. Our country will progress with the help of this. It assesses the impact of our country. This campaign will show a positive impact. It is the improved version of the Sanitation Programme.

Even for the growth of economy, measures are already beginning to take effect. To become mainstream in urban areas. Construction of house including Sanitary Latrine and Smokeless Chulah. It will make clean environment and green surroundings. It needs to implement because it effects agriculture lands too, To make swachh Bharat. People will be aware of cleanliness. It will aware people sanitation and hygiene in schools also. Solving urban sanitation issues also effects on growth, nutritional status too.

Inauguration of the project for rehabilitation of Bist Doab Canal


CM S. Parkash Singh Badal will inaugurate the project for rehabilitation of Bist Doab Canal on February 20. The 801 kilometre long stretch of canal network was renovated at a cost of Rs. 320 crore to provide irrigation facility to the cultivated land of 847 villages. As such had assured irrigation facility for raising wet crops. It will offer  tremendous advantages over land shipment with the efficiency and flexibility .It makes it of special importance to the state and its people. Un-irrigated wastelands can be developed by canal irrigation, which would lead to increase the quantity of biomass in that area. Economic development can be expedited by avoiding dangerous droughts in Punjab.

Collected rain water in canals received by rivers, and the water is used for irrigation which will lead to the production of crops. The maintenance of canal can required for getting its benefits for a long time. Hydro electricity generation, navigation, drinking water supply will increase and lead to the development of state. The water level will increase, which will facilitates digging of wells. It will also become a source of tourist attraction as these days canals are known to. It’s a great investment for Punjab and its great facility for Punjab. There will be so many benefits for a local community to improve the lives of local people. As water can add value to a community.

Punjab government is taking so many steps to produce a report about the positive effects of restoring waterways on local communities. For economic and social benefits. At the environmental advantages and also to work out a way of measuring the success of future restorations.
