Shiromani Akali Dal | MoU Signed for Setting Up an Advanced Welding

Punjab government signed an MoU for setting up an Advanced Welding Workshop, by The Director, Technical Education & Industrial Training (Punjab) with L&T company at Government ITI, Rajpura. The MOU was signed with Nabha Power Limited and EWAC Alloys. It emphasizes the need to proliferate latest skills in welding techniques to all ITI’s by use of this facility to its utmost. NPL is asked to make extensive efforts to accelerate assimilation of these techniques with ITI Trainers and Students.

People can acquire the basic skills to the need to call themselves a welder. This kind of basic welding training is earning your welding certification. It aims at making certified welders more attractive employment prospects. With the help of this workshop, a certified welder can earn anywhere from 10% to 60% more than un-certified welders.

It will lead to make them a more proven commodity in the welding trade, and therefore harder to replace. As we all know that welders are in demand in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, automotive and more. Additionally, becoming a certified welder can be a springboard to becoming an underwater welder, a certified welding inspector, working as a freelancer, or even opening your own business. It seems to plays a big part in turning a job as a welder into a career in welding. Mrs Daljit Kaur Sidhu is playing a key role in immediately formalizing this idea into reality. Once established, this will be the most advanced workshop by EWAC Alloys in Punjab and will be used to impart Skill building training to the youth of Punjab.
